Equinix Opens New Seattle Data Center

Colocation and hosting firm Equinix said this morning that it is getting set for a grand opening of its downtown Seattle data center this week, with guest tours and a reception. The new data center is the second for Equinix in Seattle, and is located the Westin Buildling in downtown. The firm announced construction on the new center in 2011, saying at the time that it would spent $60M to build the new location.
