ESI Wins Hynix

Portland-based Electro Scientific Industries, a maker of laser manufacturing systems used by the semiconductor industry, reported today that it has received a high volme order from semiconductor firm Hynix Semiconductor. According to ESI, the order was for its 9850+ laser link processing system. Financial terms of the win were not disclosed. ESI said Hynix will use the equipment to ramp its advanced DRAM and embedded memory manufacturing.
