Expedia In Deal With US Airways

Bellevue-based online travel site Expedia and airline US Airways announced this morning that the two are in a new, multi-year strategic partnership agreement. The two said the deal calls for Expedia to continue to offer US Airways' full range of fares and inventory through Expedia, Hotwire, and Egencia. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. The two said that US Airways has agreed to offer its content through the global distribution systems (GDS) model--the model which Expedia and others have been battling American Airlines over--in addition to using "new channels" for distributing "Choice Seats" products.
