F5 Powers Rackspace Cloud Offering

Seattle-based F5 Networks said today that the firm's BIG-IP products are the foundation of Rackspace's new Cloud Connect service. Cloud Connect, announced by Rackspace yesterday, allows the hosting firm's customers to mix dedicated and cloud-based hosting in its service. F5 said its BIG-IP product is being used to provision, secure, and manage network traffic for Rackspace customers as part of the Cloud Connect offering. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed by F5.
