FiLaser Acquired By ROFIN

Portland-based FiLaser, a developer of laser-based cutting equipment and technology, has been acquired by Michigan-based ROFIN-SINAR Technologies, the companies said Friday. According to ROFIN, the deal is in the form of an asset purchase, and includes all intellectual property including trademarks, know-how, patents and patent applications of FiLaser. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. FiLaser is led by Jeffrey Albelo.
