Fugitive Finder App Uses iPhone To Find Wanted Criminals

Port Townsend, Washington-based Intellicheck Mobilisa has rolled a out a new, mobile app, which is aimed at helping law enforcement find fugitives. The company--which develops a wide range of technology for identification--said the new app costs $49 in the Apple App store, and allows law enforcement officers to use their iPhones to scan a barcode on driver's licenses or other ID cards, and figure out information on warrants, stolen vehicles, and much more from the FBI's National Crime Information Center (NCIC). Intellicheck Mobilisa says the new app is restricted to credentialed officers only.
