Motricity Cuts Asian Operations

Bellevue-based Motricity, which provides mobile data services, has closed its operations in Asia, the firm said Thursday. The firm has been undergoing some turmoil, as it has been pursuing a sale or spinoff of its carrier, advertising, and mobile marketing businesses. The firm said it will cut 135 jobs in India, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia as part of the closures. The firm swapped its CEO in August.
