MicroGREEN Polymers Gets $5M

Arlington, Washington-based MicgoGREEN Polymers, the developer of technology for using recycled PET bottles to create insulating and temperature resistant cups, trays, and other items, has raised $5M in a strategic funding, the firm said last week. The funding came from the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians. MicroGREEN said the funding is the first close of an ongoing, $20M funding round. The firm has previously been backed by such companies as Waste Management and WRF Polymers, but said it expects its future funding efforts to be directed at other tribes. More information »
