Spaceflight Purchases Space On Upstart's New Satellite Launch Rocket

Seattle-based Spaceflight, which is helping to arrange shared space for satellite launches, said today that i has purchased a Rocket Lab Electron rocket, to expand its ridesharing capacity. California-based Rocket Lab just announced plans for its first, test flight this week. Spaceflight--which previously purchased a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket for is payloads--said the new rocket will expand its "dedicated rideshare" capacity. Rocket Lab has developed a small rocket, specifically designed to launch smaller and lighter satellite payloads into mid-inclination orbis. Spaceflight did not say how much it paid for the Electron, or when i will fly the rocket. Spaceflight says that so far, it has launched more than 100 satellies into space across a wide range of launch vehicles.
