Amazon Expands On Staten Island

Amazon.com said on Wednesday that it is opening its first fulfillment center in New York, and will be opening a new, 855,000 square foot center in Staten Island. According to Amazon, the new fulfillment enter will create 2,250 full time jobs. Amazon said the new center will also use the company's advanced robotics systems to pick, pack and ship customer items such as household essentials, books and toys.
