Glypse Gets $12M More For Real-time Location Sharing

Seattle-based Glypmse is announcing this morning that it has raised an additional, $12M in funding, to go towards the company's location sharing tools. According to Glympse, the Series C round came from UMC Capital, Verizon Ventures and additional unnamed strategic investors, along with Ignition Partners, Menlo Ventures and Naya Ventures. Glympse said the new funding brings its total raised to $20M. Glympse is developing technology and tools which are being used for messaging apps at Verizon, in connected cars from BMW, MINI, Ford, GM, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Volvo, as well as other devices and services.
