Ignition Gets Exit At StrongLoop

Seattle-based venture investor Ignition Partners has seen what looks to be a good exit for the investment company, over at software tools developer StrongLoop. According to IBM on Thursday, it acquired StrongLoop to help bolster its set of tools to help developers connect their enterprise applications to mobile, Internet of Things (IoT) and web applications in the cloud. StrongLoop had raised a mere $8M in a single round of funding in 2013, from Ignition Partners and Shasta Ventures. Ignition's Nick Sturiale had led the firm's investment in StrongLoop.
