Immune Design Raises $49M

Seattle-based Immune Design announced this morning that it is raising up to $49M in a Series C funding round, split between an immediate investment of $32.5M upfront and an additional $16.5M in the near future, depending on program progress. The new financing was led by The Column Group, and also included Topspin Partners, Alta Partners, Versant Ventures, Osage Partners, ProQuest Investments, as well as Sanofi-Genzyme BioVentures.
