Industry Ventures Sets Up Shop In Seattle

Need venture funding? Seattle has a new investment firm in town, which is hoping to bolster its venture capital efforts here. According to Industry Ventures, a venture capital investor which manages over $1 billion in funds, it is expanding into the Pacific Northwest with the hiring of a new Venture Partner, Trevor Rubel. The company said that Rubel will be based in Seattle, to help ramp up its investment efforts in the region. Rubel was most recently at Bank of America Merchant Services, and also had served at First Data, Intelligent Results, and Personify. He's also a graduate of the University of Washington. Industry Ventures. The firm said he'll be sourcing deals in the payments and big data sectors.
