Integrated Diagnostics Gets $10M

Seattle-based Integrated Diagnostics, the medical diagnostics firm founded by genome pioneer Dr. Leroy Hood, said today that it has raised $10M in a second tranche of its Series A funding. The firm said the move came due to "substantial progress" on its products. As part of the additional funding, the firm said it has added BioTechCube (BTC) Luxembourg as an investor. Patrizia Luchetta, chairman of BTC, joins the company's board as part of the funding. Integrated Diagnostics is using genomic and proteomic techniques for detecting diseases based on blood proteins. The firm said the new funding will go towards development, validation, and commercialization of its products. More information »
