Intellectual Ventures In Patent Deal With Cypress Semiconductor

Bellevue-based Intellectual Ventures, the patent licensing behemoth run by Nathan Mhyrvold, has signed another major deal with a semiconductor maker. According to a regulatory filing from Cypress Semiconductor, it will receive a license to Intellectual Ventures' patent portfolio, and will pay a license fee and purchase certain litigation defense services from IV in the future. Financial details of the deal were not announced. The filing was first noted by Geekwire.
