Jive Expands In Bay Area

Portland-based Jive, a developer of social networking software for businesses, said it is expanding in the Bay Area today, and has opened up a new office in Palo Alto. The firm said its new office reflects "dramatic growth" and an increasing focus on the Bay Area. Jive said it expects that 15-20% of its staff will be located in Palo Alto by the end of the year, including its CEO, Dave Hersh. In a statement, the firm said it intends to "make Jive a fixture" in the Bay Area technology scene, and is "hiring aggressively" in the area. Jive did not say what the new focus on the Bay Area means for its current operations in Portland, however.
