Jive Ties Into SharePoint

Portland-based Jive said today that it is launching a new strategy to connect its business social networking software into third party, content management systems. As part of that strategy, the firm said it has created a new software module--Jive SharePoint Connector--which provides deep integration between Jive's software and Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft's intranet portal software for companies. Jive said the move will allow users of both software products to get unified access, search, and document storage between the products. Among features of the new link are the ability to search, brown, and link documents within SharePoint directly from Jive. The firm did not release pricing on the new software, which it said will ship later this quarter.
