Kannact Gets $2.9M

Portland-based Kannact, a developer of a cloud-based, real-time, blood glucose monitoring platform, has raised $2.9M in a funding round, the company disclosed Wednesday. The funding came from angel investors. Kannact offers up a glucometer which automatically uploads your blood sugar level to an online secure portal using your smartphone, in order to help coach diabetics with better managing their disease. Kannact is led by Krishna Rao.
