Konnects Names New President, COO

Tacoma-based Konnects, publisher of a social media platform for the newspaper industry, reported Wednesday that it has hired Jay Gallinatti as president and chief operating officer. Gallinatti, Konnects said, boasts more than a quarter century of relevant experience, including having sat on Konnects' board since April 2008 and having served as a Konnects consultant for more than 18 months. Prior to joining Konnects, the company said, Gallinatti spent more than four years on Zango Inc.'s board of directors. Before that, Konnects noted, he was one of the founding executives for Overture, which Yahoo! acquired in 2003 for $1.6 billion.
