LevelTen Energy Gets $6.8M For Renewable Energy Efforts

Seattle-based LevelTen Energy, which develops a marketplace that helps corporation purchase renewable energy--through power purchase agreements (PPAs)--has raised $6.8M in a funding round, according to the company. The Series A funding came from Prelude Ventures, Techstars Venture Capital Fund, Founders' Coop, Wireframe Ventures, Element 8 Fund and Avista Development. LevelTen Energy is led by CEO Bryan Smith. The company operates a marketplace which brings PPA buyers and sellers together to help give companies access to clean power, while providing larger blocks of capital to developers of renewable energy developments, to help fund bigger projects.
