Livemocha Names Engineering VP

Seattle-based Livemocha, the online site focused on language learning, said this week that it has named Damon Lanphear as its Vice President of Engineering and Technology. Lanphear has previously served at such firms as RealNetworks and Medio, where he was Chief Architect. The company said that Lanphear will oversee all technological development of its service. Livemocha's site helps connect users with others to learn foreign languages.
