Lockerz Buys Video Site Vodpod

Seattle-based Lockerz, the social points and marketing firm backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, said Wednesday that it has acquired Vodpod, an online social video sharing and aggregation website. The firm acquired Vodpod and realted assets from Remixation, Inc., a San Francisco area firm which will switch its focus to another product from the firm, Shouyou. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Lockerz said the buy will fuel its platform, and extend its reach and target to "Generation Z" and other audiences.
