Mentor Graphics Buys LogicVision

Wilsonville, Oregon-based Mentor Graphics, a developer of electronic design automation (EDA) tools, said late Tuesday that the stockholders of LogicVision have approved the firm's acquisition of the firm. LogicVisoin is a developer of built-in-self-test (BIST) technology used for systems-on-a-chip design testing. The two companies had announced the deal back in May; the deal is worth approximately $13M. Mentor said it would combine LogicVision's BIST technology with its automated test pattern generation (ATPG) and embedded test pattern compression technology efforts.
