Microsoft Eyes Aorato

Microsoft is in talks to acquire Israeli security software developer Aorato Ltd., according to multiple reports today, which says the deal is valued at around $200M. Aorato develops security software which taps into Microsoft's Active Directory and monitors the activity of users, to help flag suspicious activity. Active Directory is Microsoft's centralized identity database product, which is used in enterprises to control login and access to computers and applications. Aorato is venture backed by Accel Partners, Innovation Endeavors, and Glilot Capital, among others.
