Microsoft Rolls Out Geotagging Tools

Redmond-based Microsoft said Thursday that it has rolled out two new products with geotagging support for the digital photo industry. Geotagging is the marking of digital photos with GPS location information, and is a way to organize and find photos. According to Microsoft, it has rolled out a new geotagging tool for free through its Microsoft Pro Photo Tools software; and, has also added geotagging to its Expression Media 2 digital asset management software. Both software products now allow for dragging and dropping photos to a map.
