Microsoft Rolls Out The Closest Thing To Babelfish Yet, Via Skype

In what might be the closest thing to the fictional "babelfish" from the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Microsoft has rolled out a feature of Skype which will translate spoken language between Spanish and English. Microsoft explained taht the Skype Tarnsltor preview program will automatically translate spoken Spanish and English--and over 40 instant messaging languages--for users using Windows 8.1 on a desktop or other device. The fictional babelfish automatically translated any spoken language into any other in the Douglas Adams book.
