NanoString In Collaboration With Broad Institute

Seattle-based NanoString Technologies revealed this morning that it is in a research collaboratoin with the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. According to NanoString, the collaboration includes the investigation of molecular networks involved in immune response and other biological processes. The deal includes use of NanoString's nCounter Analysis System by the Broad Institute, and custom work by NanoString to focus on gene signatures identified by Broad investors. NanoString said the research might eventually develop into commercially available assay panels for its systems. NanoString is venture backed by Clarus Ventures, OVP Venture Partners, and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.
