QThru Launches iOS, Android Apps
Seattle-based QThru, the developer of an in -store, mobile shopping and self checkout software, said today that it has launched iOS and Android apps. The firm said those apps allow users to use their mobile phones to shop for, scan, and checkout from stores, so they can skip checkout lines. The startup said it recently completed a beta test at the Ridge IGA Supermarket in Snoqualmie, and is now planning to roll out to 14 grocery and retail stores in Seattle. QThru's software integrated with point-of-sale (POS) systems, and is aimed at making the shopping experience faster for consumers. The company is led by Aaron Roberts, and announced $3.5M in funding back in July.
