Rails Boxcar Acquired By Blue Box

Portland-based Rails Boxcar, a provider of web hosting for Ruby on Rails web applications operated by Planet Argon LLC, has been acquired by Tacoma-based Blue Box Group, the firms announced Wednesday. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. According to Blue Box Group, it will take over management and support of all of Rails Boxcar's existing customers, and will also offer new tools for hosting Ruby On Rails to its own customers from the acquisition. Planet Argon said the sales will allow it to provide more focused attention on its design and development work.
