RealNetworks' Glaser Out

Seattle-based RealNetworks is in a major executive shuffle, announcing late Wednesday that CEO and founder Rob Glaser has stepped down. According to RealNetworks, Glaser is being replaced by the board of directors by Robert Kimball, who has been appointed President and Acting CEO. Glaser said, in a statement released by RealNetworks, that he has "decided it's time for me to step away from day-to-day operations." Glaser remains chairman of the board of the firm. Kimball was most recently General Counsel and EVP of Corporate Development at Real.
