Redfin Targets Real Estate Journalists With Data Visualization Tool

Seattle-based Redfin said today that it has launched a new tool, which helps journalists and others to create charts and download data from its database. Redfin said its new a href="http://redfin.com/blog/data-center">Redfin Data Center lets users access real estate data from Multiple Listing Services (MLSs), home tour requests, offers, and more, and turn those into nifty visualizations for sharing. The new tool--which uses data visualization tools from another Seattle company, Tableau--shows line graphs of month-to-month and year-to-year data drawn from Redfin's databases.
