Remitly Approved In Massachusetts, Now Available In All 50 States

Seattle-based fintech startup Remitly said late Thursday evening that it has been approved in Massachusetts, letting residents of that state send money abroad. The startup, which is backed by more than $100M in investments from Stripes Group, DFJ, DN Capital, QED Investors, Trilogy Equity Partners, Bezos Expeditions, Founders’ Co-Op, International Finance Corp. and TomorrowVentures, said it received final state approval in Massachusetts fro the service--and now can serve customers in all 50 U.S. states. Remitly is led by CEO Matt Oppenheimer. The company offers up a mobile remittance service, which helps people in the U.S. send money to family in other countries.
