SafeHarbor Acquired By Private Equity Firm

Seattle-base SafeHarbor Technology Corporation, a provider of software for managing inbound telephone, email, and chat requests, has been acquired by private equity firm Shackleton Equity Partners. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to Shackleton Equity Partners, SafeHarbor will remain in Seattle, and will be managed by Greg Clark, the former President of the company. Clark is being appointed as CEO as part of the acquisition. SafeHarbor serves such companies as IBM, American Airlines, T-MObile, Sprint, and SunTrust to help them reduce their customer support costs. SafeHarbor was venture backed by Covestco, OVP Venture Partners, Washington Mutual Bank, and Wheatley Partners.
