SkyKick Gets HIPAA Certification, Meets EU Privacy Requirements

Seattle-based cloud management software developer SkyKick said this week that its cloud backup and migration software has been certified compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Those regulations, which apply to many healthcare customers, will help its customers meet the requirements under those various rules. SkyKick did not say what company it used for the HIPAA and Privacy Shield certifications. SkyKick said the certification will help eliminate the overhead of outside compliance management for its IT partners, many of which are in the healthcare and European markets.
