SNUPI Technologies Adds $7.5M For Home Monitoring Devices

SNUPI Technologies, the Seattle-based University of Washington spinout behind the Wally home monitoring platform, said this week that it has raised $7.5M in a first round of funding. The funding came from Washington Research Group, along with Madrona Venture Group and others. The startup--led by Jeremy Jaech--develops in-home, sensor monitoring products which connect information about a home's environment with your smartphone. The platform monitors things like humidity (leaking toilet? broken water heater?) and immediately alerts users about those issues via a smartphone alert. More information »
