Sprint Boosts Bid For Clearwire To $5.00 Per Share

Sprint has increased its bid for Kirkland's Clearwire to $5.00 per share, in a move that might finally put the long running acquisition drama to bed. Sprint--which had most recently been offering $4.40 per share for Clearwire, up from an original $3.40 per share--said the amount is a "significant premium" to the competing offer from DISH Network. The amount is 47 percent higher than Sprint's original offer for Clearwire back in May of last year.
