Attensa Beta Tests Predictive Ranking Reader

Portland, Oregon-based Attensa, a developer of RSS software, said today that it has released a beta of its Outlook RSS reader that support predictive ranking. The software uses predictive ranking to rank RSS articles that a user has subscribed to, and lists the ones readers are most likely to be interested in. The beta, which is available on Attensa's web site, is available for free. Attensa said that articles can be ranked by priority or based on favorite subscriptions, along with the traditional date-ranking of articles. Attensa also introduced a new, appliance-based RSS appliance today that incorporates its technology. RSS, the Really Simply Syndication format, is used by blogs and news organization to stream articles to individual readers. Attensa is backed by RSS Investors, Second Avenue, and SmartForest Ventures.
