thePlatform Adds Online Video Channel Software

Seattle-based thePlatform, a company which provides products that allow content providers to manage and publish online video, said Wednesday that it has added a new software suite. The new software allows companies to create their own, branded desktop software for downloading and managing music, video, and other digital media. thePlatform is targeting movie studios, music labels, television programmers, digital aggregators, and content firms with the new software. According to thePlatform, the new software is already in use by the G4 television network, UIEvolution, and others. thePlatform's products are used by such companies as ABC News, Amp'd Mobile, CNBC, Scripps, and others to manage and publish online video.
