SeaMobile Buys Satellite Facility

SeaMobile Enterprises, a provider of communications and Internet services for ships at sea, announced Wednesday that it has completed its acquisition of a teleport facility located in Holmdel, N.J. SeaMobile said it purchased the 10,000-square-foot property from SES AMERICOM. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The new facility will act as a network redundancy point for the firm's existing operations center in Florida. SeaMobile provides Internet services, broadcast television, and other communications products for cruise ship operators and other oceangoing ships. The firm said the Holmdel facility will be the center of its technology and customer service operations for its Wave Entertainment Network TV unit.
