Isilon Upgrades Storage Systems

Seattle-based Isilon said today that it has released a new clustered storage system, along with a number of partnerships. Isilon said its new X-Series, IQ clustered storage systems now support up to 1.6 petabytes of capacity, and a performance of 10 Gigabytes per second. The announcement of the new system came in conjunction with deals announced with Cisco, ColdWatt, Intel, Mellanox Technologies, Riverbed and VMware. The new systems are based on Isilon's clustered storage software, and include interoperablity efforts and incorporation of its partners products. Isilon is a developer of storage systems targeted at the enterprise data storage market.
