Isilon Shuffles Lineup, Names New CTO, SVP

Seattle-based Isilon Systems, a manufacturer of clustered data storage systems and related software, reported Monday that it has made two changes to its executive staff. Specifically, Isilon said it hired Brett Helsel as senior vice president of engineering and promoted Paul Rutherford to chief technology officer. Helsel, the company noted, most recently served as chairman and chief executive officer for Lockdown Networks. Prior to that, he was chief technology officer and senior vice president of product development at F5 Networks. Before his promotion, Rutherford had served as Isilon's vice president of engineering. Before joining Isilon, Rutherford was chief technology officer of Advanced Digital Information Corp.
