Bocada Upgrades Software

Bellevue-based Bocada said this morning that it has upgraded its flagship product, Bocada Enterprise, which is used by companies to monitor their data protection and backup processes. According to Bocada, the new software increases performance in large scale environments, better install and configuration, along with new support for a number of data backup software products. Bocada's products are used to report on data backup to disk and tape across multiple software systems. Among the enhancements to the software were support for specific versions of EMC Networker, Symantec PureDisk, Symantec Backup Exec, Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager, CommVault Galaxy, and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager. Bocada is venture backed by Catamount Ventures, Guide Ventures, Madrona Venture Group, Partech International, and Second Avenue.
