Webtrends Opens Data Service

Portland-based Webtrends, a developer of web analytics tools, said this morning that the firm has opened up the firm's Webtrends Open Exchange, a service which allows users to get complete access to their analytics data. According to Webtrends, the web services will now be available to its customers without any additional fees, including access via its own application programming interface (API). The firm also said it is releasing a new Data Collection API this summer to allow partners to add data to its data warehouse. Separately, the firm said it has partnered with firm Radian6, which will use the company's Open Exchange services to enhance its own product, used to monitor customers on social networking sites and track social media efforts.
