Microsoft's IP Ventures Funds Irish Startup

Microsoft IP Ventures has helped fund the launch of a new technology-oriented startup company based in Dublin, Ireland, Microsoft announced this morning. Microsoft said it and Enterprise Ireland collaborated to found the startup, InishTech. Microsoft explained that the new company will offer Microsoft's Software Licensing and Protection Services and license related intellectual property. InishTech has also assumed full responsibility for Microsoft's existing SLP Services customer base, Microsoft said, and will work to expand and grow the service through independent software vendors and developers across the globe. Microsoft added that it will retain a minority interest in InishTech and will initially offer product service and support to customers to help smooth the transition.
