Eyejot Licenses Transcoding Technology To WhatCounts

Seattle-based Eyejot, which develops web-based video messaging software, said Tuesday that it has licensed its software to email provider WhatCounts. According to Eyejot, it has licensed its video transcoding technolog to WhatCounts, for enterprise-class video email projects. Financial details of the license were not disclosed. Eyejot said its Parallel Transcoding Engine (PTE) is designed to handle large numbers of simultaneous video conversion operations, and is used by the firm for its own video conversion needs.
