Amazon Drops Kindle DX Pricing, Improves Display

Seattle-based Amazon.com said this morning that it has launched a new version of its Kindle DX, dropping the price from $489 down to $379. The firm also said it has improved the device, adding a new, high contrast e-ink screen to the device, which it says has 50 percent better contrast than the prior Kindle DX. The firm said it will ship the new DX on July 7th, and is now taking pre-orders for the device.
