Coinstar Invests In ecoATM

Bellevue-based Coinstar announced this morning that it is investing in ecoATM, a California developer of automated kiosks for cell phone recycling. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. Coinstar said that ecoATM was the winner of its 2009 "Big Idea" contest at the KioskCom conference last year. ecoATM develops kiosks which can be used by consumers to recycle their cell phones and other electronics. Coinstar said it made the investment because it is "continually looking for kiosks concepts taht are innovative and compelling." More information »
