Parallels Updates Mac Desktop

Renton, Washington-based Parallels, the developer of the popular Parallels software for running Windows OS on a Mac, said today that it is releasing a new update on the 14th, which it promises is faster than its last version. The firm said the new version--Parallels Desktop 6--runs 3D graphics at nearly 40 percent better than before, with boot time 41 percent faster. The firm also said the upgraded software offers faster speed working with USB drives, networks, and shared folders. Other features of the software include new parental control access, surround sound, ability to use Mac shortcuts, and anti-virus support.
