Planar Launches 3D Projector Line

Beaverton, Oregon-based Planar Systems, a developer of digital displays and projectors, said today that it has launched a line of 3D projectors. The firm said its Runco 3Dimension Series projectors are aimed at the home market, and is based on the technology it has been providing for years to the professional 3D market. Planar claims its technology is "vastly superior" to other 3D visualization technology, and uses passive 3D glasses. The company said it has licensed 3D movie technology firm RealD's Processing Package, to deliver and display high definition 3D content. Runco is Planar's home theater brand.
